How to Specify a Cake or Gelato Display Case for Your Business

A cake or gelato display case is both a refrigeration decision and a customer-facing presentation decision. The right case must suit the products on display, the service flow, available floor space, cleaning routine, electrical supply and the visual identity of the business.

Before asking for a quote, review the Acenox refrigeration product range and prepare the information below. A complete enquiry helps the supplier recommend a configuration rather than sending a generic catalogue response.

Start with the product you will display

Cakes, pastries, gelato, beverages and delicatessen products can have different display and operating needs. Define the typical product size, tray or pan format, target stock level, service frequency and whether staff or customers access the case. Describe the product clearly and provide photographs or a menu layout if available.

Plan the customer and staff workflow

Consider where customers stand, where staff serve from and how product is replenished. A counter placed in a high-traffic area needs suitable access and clearance. Decide whether the case is a service counter, a self-service display or part of a complete bakery or gelato line. The answer affects the preferred opening, shelf arrangement, worktop and visual design.

Measure more than the cabinet footprint

Measure the full installation zone, including wall clearance, aisle space, nearby heat sources, electrical outlet position and the delivery route into the premises. Share width, depth and height limits, but also note any columns, doors, stairs and ceiling constraints. Request both net and packed dimensions before finalizing a purchase decision.

Choose presentation and branding details

Display equipment can support a branded retail environment through finish, lighting, front profile, logo placement and matching counters. For private-label or project work, send logo artwork, brand colors, preferred finish references and an image of the planned store interior. Confirm in writing what can be applied to the selected model and order quantity.

Build a quote-ready brief

Your request should include product category, quantity, display purpose, required dimensions, destination country, electrical requirement, target installation date, branding request and any required documentation. If you are opening a full bakery or restaurant, also list related refrigerated storage or preparation equipment so the project can be reviewed as a coordinated package.

Request a relevant quotation

For a project discussion, contact Acenox with your brief. You can also review the FAQ for commercial buyers and compare whether your project needs a display case, a storage freezer or a blast-chilling workflow.
